I don't know about your pants. But on mine (carhartt b11's) the right hand corner of my right back pocket is not under my rear when I'm sitting down. It's closer to 4 o'clock. It's also higher up on my back end, so it really doesn't contact what I'm sitting on (mostly). So I have no problem sitting, standing, crawling around in a bilge or what-have-you.
