Back-Pocket EDC Carry - Any Adverse Effects Known From Longterm Weight On A Folder?

I occasionally rotate knives that are thrown in my backpack and has done so for years. And for several of those years my backpack would weigh around 50pounds or more, and I would throw my backpack around (do you really want to gently put down a 50+ pound backpack or are you just going to drop the dang thing, I choose drop). And I have NEVER broken or damaged a knife in it and they were always on the bottom of the backpack in a pocket in tip down carry, and trust me they they took a lot of impacts from the ground and whatever else was in there.

So unless your using a knife you bought at a dollar store I am pretty sure you have nothing to worry about, it won't even come close to the abuse I put some of my knives through.

I always carry my knives in the back left pocket, haven't had any problems yet. I keep them clipped as far to the side as possible, so when I sit I'm not actually sitting on the blade.
