You can also buy only the sheath and use them for several small Bark River knives.

StretchNM, thanks for the heads up. I've actually had my eye on the Benchmade 211 for a while on eBay, and your recommendation pushed me over the edge to buying one.

Anyway, some great suggestions in this thread, and I'm sure finally breaking down and buying a 'carry legal' short fixed blade will get me hooked on fixed's AND folders.

Thankfully, this thread is now on the 2nd page, so I don't feel so bad about threadjacking

I kinda like the little Bark River knives. I have a couple Mikro Canadians, you'd hardly notice them on your belt or even in your pocket. This one is only 5 3/8" in the sheath, its got ivory slabs and mosaic pins.

The other one in the background is orange G-10, 5 3/4" in the sheath and has grommets for a neck chain on the sheath. The sheath that goes with the ivory handled knife is quite a bit smaller.
