Back Surgery

This week comes the big day.

Anyway, that will keep me out of the shop for a bit, but at least I can fix my website while I'm off. It needs it.

I'll keep you posted, but I doubt they'll give me pics. I can ask.

Gene

Friend , a dear friend had a similar operation last year & was back home in no time. I warned him about easing off for at least 2 weels but he felt so good he went out,cut his grass & went back into the hospital .

I wish surgery was this advanced in '78 when I had it.

This old man's advice is," DON'T GET TOO SMART " .

Update!!!

I'm out of the hospital. It seems the flip job wasn't necessary. The two bottom bolts were loose and flapping like a butterfly on the rods, meaning no support for the disk. Anyway, the doc put in 7.5mm rods, new hardware, an H configuration rather than two I's. and let me go home.

My regular pain meds are managing the pain, nothing super, so as it heals I should be able to get rid of some really good stuff.

To those who offered thoughts, prayers, smoke or kind words, I thank you. Keep praying for my recovery. I have 6 weels with no driving. a molded kydex vest to wear for 3 months, and a lot of restrictions, but things are going better.

I appreciate it one and all. Pics when I can figure out how to load them.

Thanks,

Gene

Thank you for the update. Very glad to here it.

Continued prayers for a quick healing.

Glad it turned out well, now if you could just add kevlar to that kydex vest you could post in prac tac,

Probably the best possible outcome. Hope the healing goes well, I know you are in good hands! Steven
