It's been a while as folders have been my mainstay for years. The way the economy is right now and probably headed in the future, I thought it might be best to keep some simpler inventory for spur of the moment purchases!! Basicially I redesigned one of my most popular fixed blades from years ago. I couldn't be happier with how they are turning out. The specs are 9 1/4" OAL, Blade 4", .200 thick. The steel is thick but this isn't a prybar. There is lots of material removed from what I call an "I Beam" tang and the hollow ground blade. It's very fast in the hand and balances perfectly. The integral guard and finger grooves plenty of retention and are intended to be used in a gloved hand. Something that many, so called tactical knives fail to take into consideration. The integral guard and grip serrations provide plenty of retention. I have big hands that make the knife look small :nutz:

These will come with a Kydex IWB sheath. That's what everyone wanted with the old ones.

:D That sounds hilarious. "Honey, I got you a new necklace."

Hi Neil,

The deep flowing grinds and the overall lines are a Blackwood standard. Really cool.

It looks like a 'Henchman'. New name for this?

Coop

Nice, practical size. Elegant model.

If it was for me, I'd prefer a natural handle material.

Olive wood would look great!

Kind regards.

Jos

Hi Coop!! I guess is the the 2012 model year Henchman!! :) I just refined the profile a bit, added the milled in grip serrations and went with the inlay style handle. The tapered tang, glue and pin construction ones where just too time consuming and always end up putting me behind with my folders. These have the same balance, are bit stronger due to the thicker material and I can offer them at more reasonable price point.

Jos, I'll post a pic of one I'm doing now with stabilized spalted wood.

As far as selling them, I will post them here when I get more finished. My facebook friends claimed the first bunch!!!

Great to see you here Neil!!! :) And killer knife too! :)

FWIW- I don't think anyone would get their wife to wear that as a neck knife. Neil lied when he said he has big hands. He has ginormous mongloid hands! :p So while it looks sort'a "dainty" in his hand... it would be a pretty big ladies neck knife at 9-1/4" OAL!

You should still buy one for her, just tell her to wear it in a horizontal belt sheath. ;) :D

Really cool!!I got one henchman one year ago,it's really a killer!what's more, when these will be on sale? I just can't wait to get one:D

I love that grind. I'll be looking for one of those when they're up for sale.

Thanks Nick!! Yes, these are no neck knife. At some point early next year, I'm make some of the smaller versions called Fiends. They are based on the Henchman but have a 3 Finger handle and a shorter blade. Definately necker size.

The first ones are gone but I will have more next week. I have a few folders that I need to get back on this weekend. I appreciate all the kind words.
