My Basic 7 arrived about 30 minutes ago. I am amazed at how light it is, almost positive it has an asymmetric edge unless some one was hittin Grandpa's cough syrup while they ground this one :eek: It has a smooth coat finish. Anyone know when they came out with the crinkle finish and which finish was first into production?
The handles are actually longer on this B7 than my B11. The TM DSF has some new competition for sure.

I believe I had a 7 that was smoothcoat and a v-grind. People told me I was crazy, but I posted it here a long long time ago. Asym usually is much more pronounced than that. Either way it's a great knife.
 
Nice. I would like to get a paring for my B11.

The ResC handle sure takes some weight off doesn't it....
