My son has a 17, and I have both a 15 & 16. Each has its place. The 15, God rest its soul, belongs in the food prep category. Trailing point, thin profile, and full length spine swedge make it a supreme slicer. The 17 is a hunter's knife. The robust saber grind, and clip point make it great for finishing a kill, field dressing, and even quartering. The 16 is the middleman. The drop point, and full flat grind make it a bushcrafter's knife for sure, but it could perform in the other two areas just not as well. Just my thoughts on them. I choose to carry the 16 unless I were to go hunting. Then I'd strap on the 17. The 15 is on my side while cooking at camp, or in the kitchen.
