Uncle Bill; it may be worth your while to look in the yellow pages for a local shop that builds systems from scratch. If a small business such as that has managed to stay in business for any length of time it must be keeping customers happy and putting out quality systems. Tell them what your needs are and see what they can do for you. Get a system configuration from the store and let us take a gander at it to see if their price is reasonable or if they are trying to sell you more power than you need. That way you have someone local to take it to if anything goes wrong and you will know exactly what is in your system, unlike with a Dell or HP. You may pay a bit more than a comparable large manufacturer would charge, but you know that no corners are being cut either. A basic computer's quality is determined by the quality of it's components; putting them all together isn't too hard. Let us know how it goes.
