Back to work, Day at the hostpital, New batch started.

Good thoughts, smoke and prayers sent Rick. Let us know what they say.
Just came back from an MRI myself tonight. Gettin' old sucks doesn't it? :(

Damn, Rick. Hope everything is alright. At least now I don't feel hurt that you didn't respond to my last email:p We had friends over for dinner tonight and my buddy has been dealing with some very similar stuff. The vertigo has had him laid out sporadically for a few months. Hope you get things dialed in and are able to get back to work in the shop soon.

I'll be thinkin' about you brother! Take care.

Rick, I hope everything checks out okay with you. You'll be in my thoughts for sure until you give us the "all clear".

Hang in there friend, prayers and best wishes from me and my family to you and yours.

Best wishes for getting this taken care of. Prayers sent.

I know how frustrating it can be for folks like you who have a brain scan and an EKG and both come back with no results. Makes it tough on the doctors, too :)

I TOLD ya all that paint huffing was gonna catch up with ya, man... should've stuck to horse tranquilizers.

Find a less physical hobby to entertain yourself with for a bit, bro. Everyone here has called it - the odds of you thoroughly screwing something up have just increased exponentially. It'd be a horrible shame to squander talent and skills like those you possess simply because ya got itchy and bored!!!!

STAY AWAY FROM THE SHOP FOR A WHILE!!!!!!!!!!! GET BETTER!!!!!!!

Mine was allergies and sinus infection. Its pretty scarey though.Take care.

Hey bro, take care of yourself. You're my favorite Canuk.

Rick, I hope everything comes up roses for you and don't operate any machinery till you get to feeling better. It is too easy to stick an appendage in the wrong place when everything is good, let alone when the room is spinning. Prayers and good thoughts go your way my friend!

Never had vertigo but a couple of times. Both times were when I had a bad inner ear infection. Got up one night to use the facilities and didn't feel right by the time I got back to the bed I was so drunk feeling I basically fell into the bed, shutting my eyes at the same time . I knew I should have landed in the bed but I felt like the bed was turning over. It was such a real feeling I actually threw my arm out to catch myself when I did fall from the bed. But the matteres did not turn over like I felt it was doing. I guess that's payback for thinking that when my mother-in-law told me about her experience with the same problem a few years before that a bunch of bunk.

The one thing the doctor told me other than I am putting you on antibiotics and steroids was, "open your eyes when you are experiencing vertigo". The brain has a way of using the eyes to focus the equilibrium and the spinning will stop almost immediately.

Keep us posted and I really did say a prayer my friend, I never tell someone that unless I really intend to do it!:D

Hope you get well soon Rick, I'm right there with you on going stir crazy. I fell off a ladder a couple of weeks ago so I'm on the injured list for awhile.

Take care of yourself.

Hope you feel better soon.

I can just hear the freaking doctors telling you that you have to quit drinking so much beer,... bummer man! :(

Sorry to hear this Rick. I had similar occurances about 15 years ago that happened every time I flew. It came down to the pressure change on take-off and landing was messing with my inner ear and my equilibrium. After a couple of days it would pass but it was very scary when it was happening. After a couple of years it just went away but I still wonder everytime I get on an airplane......

Anyway, you are getting good advice, stay out of the shop. Human nature is to throw our arms out to steady ourselves when we get dizzy. A shop with runnign machines, hot forges and sharp steel is not the place to be throwing body parts around.

Get better soon, Kevin

Quit rubbing grinder dust on your face like war paint and you'll be fine!!! :p :D

Seriously though, hope everything checks out A - O - K !!! :)

Get well soon Rick!

Draw up some new kick ass designs so that when you can get back behind the anvil you be off to the races.

Maybe I do a little hand sanding on some almost finished blades tonight and tomorrow.

Well if you run out just let me know and I'll send some to you for hand sanding:p
