I highly recommend the WE Practic. Awesome m390 steel and my favorite fidget flipper ever. If you liked the link you'll definitely appreciate the size and feel of the practic.

I feel the same although my choice is the Small Tinker or Bantam.I know that you would prefer something bigger but, a Victorinox Cadet would make a wonderful back upto what you now carry.
It's very people friendly, low cost, and makes a fine slicing gents knife.
I agree that they make a fine secondary knife. In my case, I tend to reach for my SAK first, so the modern is secondary for the most part and I often have a small Case peanut (or the new Rough Rider Peanut) in my watch pocket as a true backup. Most of my actual backups are at home in case I loose a knife. I'll almost always have at least one knife on me, so I don't loose a lot of sleep. There is also the knives in my truck that I keep if I feel like using one of them....My backup knife is a Swiss army knife, 95% of the time. Most of them are quite pocketable and it sure is nice to have tools!
Also, since your main knife has the really hard steel, something more humble (as on a SAK) is fine for back-up.
I picked the Cadet because of the Alox scales and overall size. Plus, I would not want to carry a folding knife any smaller than the Cadet. The other tools that the Cadet offers are just about right for a small folder, IMO.I feel the same although my choice is the Small Tinker or Bantam.
Do you need a secondary blade for self-defense or EDC? If for EDC, and you are looking in the kershaw/grip price range I might check out the Kershaw Dividend exclusives over at House of Blades, but I don't find Kershaws to be very fidget-friendly. If you want a more fidget-friendly option, I'd probably go with the PM2 or maybe a Spyderco Endura (I have the one with the Emerson wave option, which I am mentioning since your other knife is an Emerson). If you are looking for a self-defense option, my secondary blade is the new Benchmade SOCP Folder that just came out. I absolutely love it and very much appreciate that it is slim, light, and the blade is 4.5 inches. Moreover, it can be carried in your waistband tucked behind your belt so it is not visible and can still be easily accessed due to the new design on the clip. It's a fantastic blade. I would post a picture of it, but I don't think I have the option to do so as a non-paying member. It's a liner-lock, but the action on it is incredible. I can deploy it by the thumb stud or by flicking my wrist like I would do with a 940. Best of all is that the dimples on the handles (which are designed to quickly switch positions) are excellent for fidgeting and flipping the knife. I hope this helps.Im looking for a secondary knife, I know im not the only one to carry more than one . My emerson cqc 15 with serrations is my baby but i want a back up knife. Currently my back up is a benchmade contego in m390. Im looking for something similair to a kershaw link, griptilian (had one before but sold it) , pm2 (also had one in the past before). I tried to carry a manix 2 but didnt work out for me. I need something thats a good slicer, good ergos, and people friendly. I fidget a lot so the axis lock is good but benchmades dont really catch my attention. oh and i prefer bigger knives but im willing to give a small knife a chance
