This is a design I made with extended back country hunting in mind. It is designed to be a camp/hunting knife. The 4 1/4" blade is made from 1/8" O1 tool steel. It has a saber grind that is a good compromise for a tough blade and a good slicer. The heat treat scale has been left on for protection and character. The overall length of the knife is 8 3/4". The handle is made from premium desert ironwood. A very dense, very tough wood. It has a very sharp spine for scraping wood and Ferro rods. The handle is generous for more control with cold or gloved hands. It has a black G10 liner and 1/8" nickel silver pins.
The sheath is 8-9oz veg tanned leather. All hand stitched and edges are sealed.
