Backpacking pistol

I liked the DeSantis gun bags. I have not seen those before. I still have not decided what to carry yet. Thanks for all of the options.

have you thought about a shoulder holster - with iwb you will never get the pistol out with a pack on your back

Two that I haven't seen posted yet:

1) Sig Sauer p239 in .40 (7+1 rnds). It's a nice compact little semi-auto, extremely reliable, fairly lightweight (under 24oz unloaded?) and very accurate with a sweet trigger.

2) The polymer framed Kahr K-9 (7+1 rnds or 9mm?), if they're out by now. I think this one breaks the 16 oz barrier and is supposed to be very reliable too.
