Backpacking with the 1311 and my daughter

Beautiful photos and looks like a great time.
Enjoy them while they are young, and "don't blink" as Kenny Chesney said, they grow up so fast.

Bee-yooo-tee-full! Pictures like those remind me that all God created is good. And, the last two, decades Dads have been kicked in the teeth, but there you are proving that men are honorable and dedicated to their babies! Good for you!!!

wow..thanks man! appreciate that

looks like an awesome trip. My wife and I want to hit Yosemite in the next couple of years, I may have to check out the lakes y'all hiked to. it doesn't look too crowded. makes me miss my 1311 a little more than I did already.

ETA: Did you do any fishing or know if there are any fish in the lake?

I took a chance and brought my 9 y/o daughter on a Yosemite hike from Cathedral Lakes trail head to Tenaya Lakes. My brotherinlaw and his son came as well.

14 miles

elevation gain/loss: 2400ft/2500ft

She did ok. Cried a lot:rolleyes::D

Awesome post! Parenting done right :) ... thanks for sharing!

Awesome to see your 9year old out enjoying yosem. My oldest daughter is now 9 and we did day hikes out if the valley last year for thanksgiving. She and my 6 year old have not stopped talking about it since. I believe it will have to become a annual trip for my family now if I want to survive. [emoji12]
I brought my rattlehawk and ad for the trip and wished the entire time i had a big chopper as it would have been much better. I think a 1311 will be the choice for this years trip.
Hope she keeps up the camping. Thanks for sharing. [emoji106][emoji106]
