Post your bags!

I just placed an order for a 5.11 Rush 24, pouches, camelback etc. And then I thought, let's take it to the Gadgets and gear section!

I'll be posting pictures asap after I get my gear!

Happy posting! :D

The bag I ordered, in the color I ordered it.

I still need a utility pouch for the front, for my first aid equipment. Any suggestions?

I have the 5.11 Rush 12 in black with H20 Carriers. Great stuff!

I that exact same bag. It is excellent, you will not be disappointed. It is great quality and the layout of the pockets is well thought out. I do warn you though, the pocket for your sunglasses gets easily compressed when you pick the bag up by the handle, so you should keep them in a hard case when putting them in your bag.

This is like my main bag. Hand made, customized layout, and just awesome. Mine is all dark grey, grab handle added, and a few other things.

My backypacky.

Kelty Range. I love it. Had it for a few years now. Take it pretty much everyday. It's been on a number of hiking trips, and it's been to a few different countries for vacations.

I use an SOC 3 Day Pass and love it. Tons of storage including water bladder slot and it's really comfortable.

It's a large bag, and very well organized. I bet you could fit your first aid equipment inside the bag, if you'd prefer.
It's a pretty big bag to be attaching pouches to the outside of, unless for some reason you really need that much space.

I've consolidated my kit down a bit lately, so now only have three packs. I have a Mystery Ranch 3 day assault that was used on all my hikes so far this year and was part of my daily carry until last week.

Then I picked up a 5.11 MOAB 10. This is my daily carry now, way more suited size wise for my daily haul. Love this bag, but still eyeing a 5.11 RUSH 24.

Lastly, a Gregory UM21. Unfortunately it hasn't been used much lately, my 15 month old daughter keeps me off the trail for the length of time it'd require for me to justify hauling this ruck into the woods. It has been used a lot though. I love it!

My 511 MOAB 10 is the best sling style pack I've ever used.

Bought a used one of these 30l. British Army packs as a BOB for my apartment (I live and work in different cities). Went back and bought two more. Hard to beat price NZ$45 used, NZ$65 (about US$53) new.

I use this one for class and when I need a larger bag

And I will use this one when I go out on the mountain bike or on trails

I love the Kelty MAP 3500. Stays, ever ready, in my trunk as my Get-Home bag in case of some catastrophic event.

Picture taken with my Android phone, poor quality.

Rush24 as promised, my name tag from my time in DEMA, 2 grimlock D-carbiners holding 50ft of paracord atm, for looks :P haha, and 2 Tac-link in orange, because they always come in handy. As well as a pouch for a cantina.

Also, a lil' treat :D I was bored the other day, sitting in a 2x2m shed, but had a drawer with useless junk in it. Made a jailhouse shank from 2 pieces of cord, a bicycle key, 2 metal spacers and 3 pieces of aluminum from light bulbs. enjoy! :D

It's an Oakley Kitchen Sink. I bought it for work travel mainly, but the thing is a beast. Not for everyone, of course, but if you can find a place that sells one, I highly recommend going and checking it out. Some of the things I like:

- ample size in the top "hard shell" compartment which is lined with material to keep glasses safe from scratching
- removable waist strap system for days when you don't need it
- waist strap comes with pockets as well
- those beefy intimidating clips holding the top down are SUPER easy to take off and put back on (you pull on the bottom and it forces itself off the hook)
- full side zipper for easy access to laptops (my 15" macbook pro slides in and out with ease)
- huge main compartment
- main compartment has a ton of extra material on the bottom. there is a zipper on the bottom of the bag for access to a place for wet items - the extra material is to make room for that stuff on the bottom
- huge front pocket (you can see the two zippers for it hanging near the metal hooks in the front. has tons of mini-pockets and velcro to keep stuff from flying around.
- side pockets are huge, but can be tightened down
- i do a lot of rock climbing, so the metal hooks for carabiners, as well as hanging other items is a huge plus
- super comfortable on the shoulders, and nice balance for distributed weight

You'll pay a pretty penny for it, though ;)

I guess I'm more in to the tactical look, but it's definitely a cool pack! Maybe some pics of your own rig? :D Definitely miss the waist band on my Rush 24! They only came on the 72, too big for a day pack though :P Anyone know if it can be added???
