Bill, I appreciate you inviting me to do this collaboration with you. You could have easily scaled this knife yourself and really had nothing to gain by by bringing me in. Me on the other hand, being so new to the business, I get an opportunity for exposure working on a project like this with someone like you. I really do appreciate you and I hope that you and I have more opportunities to do something else together in the future.

A little background on the knife. Bill did all the blade work, heat treating, etc and sent me the blade. I did all the scale work on the knife and the etching. When I was gluing up the scales my son asked me why I always put the same three 1/4" pins with a 1/8" pin up high and another 1/8" pin behind the lanyard tube on all my knives. That's how this one was originally going to be. My only response was that I like the randomness of it. His response back was, if you like random why don't you just put pins everywhere. There you have it. That's how this came to be. I hope you guys like the knife. It was a lot of fun.
 
That bowie is both fun and serious looking. I did a little cussing (in the best way) when I first opened the thread and saw this knife. That doesn't happen too often. Congratulations on a fantastic collaboration piece.
 
That thing is crazy wild. I like it a lot! One day, in probably less than a year, this will pop up on someone's "what is your grail" thread and we'll all curse our own selves for not buying it. Well, all of us but the one who buys it, of course.

Thanks Hoxhunbe...... she i purdy isnt she? I hope I can work out the guts to use her, by far the most expensive and most beautiful knife Ive ever bought........ I gotta stop lurking here:)
