Hi, I need some help with knifecenter.com
This my sad story - I ordered from knifecenter in 30/03/01 my credit card

any answer. It was my 2nd order from them and the 1st about an year
ago I got without any problem.I also tryed to solve the problem via
WebAssured, their link is on knifecenter home page, but without success.
Because I don't live in USA I have limited possibilitys, so I need advise
what can I do in this situation. Will appreciate any help.

I am sure if you email KCI and put attention Howard in the subject line he will get ahold of you. Howard and the crew are decent folks and I have never had a problem with them.

I am not sure if their toll free number works if you're overseas. It does here in Alaska.

Howard also checks out this forum.

Don't dispair, I am sure you will hear something soon.

I hope that your experience is better than mine. Here are a few threads to consider. Gotta love that fast search function. Thanks, Spark!

Kodiak PA and paranoid9999, thanks.

Kodiak , I've send at least 4 e-mails,no answer.May be they are too busy and hav not enough time for that unimportant activity.

Hey guys, correct me if I am wrong here. While I realize the poster is overseas which increases difficulty in this case, he did say he used a credit card. What's the problem??? You call the credit card company, tell them you never got said service or product from the knifecnter.com and they have you send them a letter stating that, they check into it, and unless the knife center can prove you got it, they debit the money they send the knife center each month and credit your card. End of story. A credit card is protection and simple and small dealers that dont take them are losing sales. Because you never have to worry about rip-offs when using one. Inconvenience yes, rip-offs no. Also if a company takes credit cards most card companies make them agree never to charge the card before shipping the merchandise. That is a big no no. So call your credit card company. Chances are they sent the knife and its lost. I cant believe they are not getting back to you. They always have been most cooperative when I shopped there.

Thanks, Mike. I also can't believe, but they are not getting back

I apologize to the Knife Center and anyone who read my previous post as the circumstance I described did, in fact occur just as I described, but it was with the Knife Outlet, not the Knife Center. I was mistaken and I apologize.

I've got to admit, there have been several times that I've wanted to order from them due to fantasic prices on certain knives. However each time I come here first (I check here first right before any transaction with any delaer), and there has always been something posted that made me decide not to purchase....Maybe not terrible, but something that damages my confidence.

Then after I pass up the opportunity to buy, someone posts something positive about them :) I guess every dealer has their ups and downs.

IG,

We don't accept international orders. Our web site says so and so does the email we sent you upon receipt of your order, assuming you provided an email address with the order. Also we don't hit credit cards until the day we ship so, contrary to what you say, we have charged you nothing. In this case, you are complaining about a loss you didn't incur. Best of luck to you.

I was looking through some posts about various internet dealers being rude, etc.
Pretty simple, Snotty waitress, Lousy food, Dirty restaraunt, no tip - no return visit. Most major cities even have some old fart reporter going around and rating service at various "service" oriented businesses. So, DO post em!
Some folks just go through life acting like they're doing YOU a favor by LETTING you be their customer. Are most of you aware what the mark up or price break on Manufacturer's Suggested Retail and what is paid by the retailer for production knives? They're NOT losing money. No matter "how good" their prices are comparatively.
Before anyone mentions me begrudging someone making a profit, I want to mention that it is customary to get "VALUE" for your money as a consumer. Value in product, value in service, and maybe a little courtesy shouldn't be out of the question either.
There are numerous knife retailers. They all get products at around the same prices. The only thing that one can offer over another IS SERVICE & COURTESY.

When a company provides outstanding service, courtesy, etc., let others know that too.
Everyone seems to forget, WE the buying public, are the ones who are in charge of where we spend our money.

The people I get great service from are AG Russell, Spyderco Factory Outlet, BladeArt. By gosh, I think I recall each of them THANKING ME for ordering from them. What a concept, huh?
