Bad Boltaron?

Just a quick caveat on the G-clips. They are designed to have the belt threaded through them rather than flexed to clip on and off belts. You can do this with sweats or running shorts, and maybe thin web belts, but not with a thick gun belt. Eventually you will overflex it to the point it will break, No problems clipping over sweats though. On my "handmades" (which these are based on) I make the bottom lip larger to prevent lazy people from doing this. The clips are meant to be a rock solid platform for sheaths and also have the extra option of being able to be used without a belt that the TekLoks lack. I'm using the Spyderco G-clips most of the time unless a handmade is specifically required.

I'll have the sheath done using your boltaron and post a couple pics later.

I'm using the clips on my jeans I don't flex them too much, it just takes a bit to find the sweet spot to slide them off..

Cool, I hope that it came out alright... sort of, Now I'm beginning to wonder if it's my technique =(

Here's the sheath I did with your material. Works fine and the boltaron is good. Might have to adjust your heating times, temps, or your process. I actually used my time and temps for .093, but did so after I knew it was .080 and would react more to the heat, so was ready to adapt and adjust. Wanted to see what would happen. Good news though, is that it is boltaron, plus you bought my DVD set so will have my process, and also be able to contact me with questions and/or for troubleshooting. I made the sheath for a CS Tanto Lite, which is a great little knife, but comes with a cordura pouch sheath (at it's price point you would not expect more), so it is a knife that is in need of retrofit sheaths. I sell pkg deals of these all the time. I'll send you a PM and we can discuss if you'd like me to send the knife and sheath back to you. Only have to pay for the knife and s&H - sheath work will be free. Sheath has a no movement, no rattle lock-up, and after at least 30 draws from it, there are no marks on the blade.

To all,

Thanks for all of the ideas and pokes in the right direction, as I expected but really didn't want to admit and with the great assistance from Mike, there is a flaw in my process some where, welp back to the drawing board =)

In the mean time I'll wait for the DVD and move along
