So whats the deal? I see that he has been banned.
I asked him to refund my money in an email. I don't know if he will.
I believe that I can get a refund through paypal. But I'm no 100% on that since the transaction was a few months ago.

Has anyone else been on contact with him? Has anyone gotten a refund?
I saw several people posted in other thread about calling it a loss since it was only a few dollars a person. I won't allow him to take my money.
 
Chris, not everyone knows the back story. Why not provide a link to the original thread?

I sent him a PM a while back and actually got a response, not much in the response other than he was working on them....would not verify if he ever sent any out...I asked again and never got a response.....
 
That Bin Laden knife thread was the first time I really paid any attention to the guy. For about half a second I considered putting my hat in the ring for a couple of bucks but decided the whole thing was way to wacky to get involved with. Glad I listened to the nut ball radar that was going off in my head. Good luck in getting a refund to all involved :rolleyes:.

Your nut ball radar was strong. So was mine; I knew this guy was both drunk as a skunk *and* a total dumb ass when I read his stupid post.
 
He sent me a refund. So no problems. The way he talks is strange. And he did get banned. Lack of communication is an issue. But he did not wrong me in anyway. I have nothing bad to say about the guy.
 
For the record, I just e-mailed Bad Boy and he gave me the option of a refund or to wait a few weeks or so for the knife. I'm going to wait, and give the guy a chance to make me a knife.

I'd say you have a 50/50 chance. It seems that 50% of the time, he's sober and acts normal and honorably. The other 50% of the time, he's drunk and acts like a dumb ass. If you get a package from him, I'd say 50% chance there's a knife in there, and 50% there's a dead rat and 10-page drunken letter referring to you as "Stacy, bitch who ruined my life."
 
Let me offer my thoughts, please. I too took him up on the offer. In my opinion he was doing it practically pro bono. It also sounds like he was doing it practically on the fly, so I'd say lighten up a little. I'm sure everyone would agree he wasn't doing it to make the boat payment, riight? He seems to have just done it as a way of celebrating what he and many considered a very special event. Additionally, every time I contacted him (maybe once a month) to see how it was coming, he always replied. How much pressure do you put on someone who's really doing you a favor in the first place? Sounds like they are about ready to be sent out. So I'm just looking forward to seeing what it looks like. And am going to e-mail him a thank you when its all over.
 
steel130, he got drunk (plus other'd?) and went absolutely bonkers. turns out insulting, cursing, and threatening mods is a big no-no. who knew? :)

i'm the same as pretty much everyone else on him - when he was on task, he was polite, fairly straightforward to follow (if a different kind of cat), positive, and he made a couple pretty good looking knives for their cost.
but when he was drunk/baked/whatever'd, holy cow. crazy as a sh*thouse rat. completely nonsensical posts. like way out there schizophrenic nonsensical.

also came out the night it went badly for him here that his drunken/baked/whatever'd personal pms to mods and other knifemakers were even worse, and had happened several times before.

that's why. unfortunate, but well-deserved.

-i was hanging out on BF and actually saw those 2 or 3 seperate celebratory posts he made the night Osama Bin Laden quit wasting our planet's oxygen, and thought d*mn, that is one drunk dude. i also decided that you know, a $1 knife sounds nice, but that guy is just messed up drunk right now, he's gonna regret that. and it'd be like taking advantage of a drunk girl in a bar. so i passed.
to his credit, he certainly manned up and stood by his drunken/whatever'd offer. have to give him lots of credit for that if he follows through. expect it to take a while if he's trying to help make his living selling knives, and needs to make 50 extra on the side. hope it turns out for everyone, and i really hope he gets control of whatever demons are running the bad half goin' on in his life.

A very good point. Like I said, I have nothing bad to say about the guy. I backed out of the deal for my own reasons and he returned my money very promptly.
The reason I made this thread was because I figured that other people might be in the same boat as me wondering about what was going on since Bad Boy Productions had been banned from bladeforums.
 
Wow, this guy is to crazy for me. I am so glad I didn't buy that mammoth scaled warnie he did. After seeing his crap I would reserve that knife to sitting forever. Its like two people living in his head.
