"MT Whaleshark Perfect blade. Never been used or sharpened. Only deployed several times and put on display in case. Looking for Emerson Gentleman Jim, MT Vector, or any other Emerson Knives as long as they are in reasonable good shape. Will also consider anything else tactical that has been customized or pimped."
I had an email exchange with this guy, offering a first-run Brous Reloader with all the goodies in exchange for his Whaleshark. He continually assured my of the quality / condition of the knife, but when I got the knife:
- Vertical blade play, to the point that it rattles when even lightly shaken (lock bar didn't actually engage on the tang!)
- God-awful detent
- Loose pocket clip screws
- Extremely dull blade - the blade actually hits the back liner, and was uniformly folded over.
- Oxidation on pivot and thumb studs
- Chisel ground, which was not stated at any time.
I had also sent mine fully insured, and he sent his Fedex 2-day uninsured DESPITE agreeing to insure it as I had. I contacted him about how dissatisfied I was with his conduct and dishonesty about 11 days ago, and he has not responded. I have since sent the knife off to Microtech for warranty service, which cost me a good $20 that I should not have had to spend.
