BAD economy, lesse INFI

I hate to say it but my INFI family will be getting downsized soon, gonna proably clear out all the safe queens. I hate to do this, but with gas and bow season coming up, and of course the ding for the NMFBM, i have to thin the herd, anybody else doing this?

I guess my point is no more safe queens for me, I either use it or sell it!! And the money obtained from selling the queens should catch up my impulse INFI buys.

I keep buying and thinning and buying and thinning... and eventually I'll get my herd the way I want it. :D
 
I tend to buy users and if I like them I tend to buy a few more as gifts.

I am thankful I got rid of many of my extras last year, just wish I hadn't had to use most of the $ to pay bills. :D I liked to recycle funds for different blades. If I were to hit the lottery, I would be all over the exchange storing up for when the market rebounded. :D Nah, I am moving more into specific collection pieces and ones I am going to use.
 
Call me a drunken, pitiless bastard but I don't see where you have any room to blubber about shedding a few slabs of INFI. You bought it, you sell it, you buy your kids some shoes, you pay your mortgage payment. 'Would you trade your FUNK for what's behind the third door.' What about those Pinheads that sunk their money into $tr1der$?? 'Where'd you get your FUNK from?'

I am also at that point / only have one or two more safe queens to clear out and I'll have all users like it should of been. :cool:
 
I'm down to a few 1/300 SHBM's, a couple CGSHBM's, my HOG knife, a ABA, a SHSJ...maybe 2, and a certain GRAIL knife ;). Got a Loveless hunter, a Fallkniven, a handfull of machetes and HI stuff and a handful of high end folders.

I've cut back A LOT!!!! I don't forsee selling anything else though. HOPEFULLY.

I keep looking on the exchange and I don't see stuff being sold at very low prices. I do see guys saying that they are selling at under their cost but most often that looks like they might have overpaid on the exchange.

When I see a knife being sold for 20% less than it had cost to buy from Busse then I'd say that Busse knives have followed the economy down, and that has not happened yet.

I'm in the same boat...will be selling most of my Busse's also, but not sure which ones or when.

I think we need to do like Guyon said...Get in Line...so we don't all flood the exchange at once:p:(
 
Good points... Looks like the INFI follows the Economy as Tony said...

I need to sell more than I am selling now, but I am going to try and tuff it out. Some are going for under cost right now, but things come up right when you don't want them to...
 
As for me, I'm not going to be selling any of my Busses. All that I've bought I've bought to keep. I don't own 10 of the same knife, but I get to keep what I do own. ;) I was never really one to buy stuff that I couldn't afford keeping, and Busses are no exception. In fact, I'm probably going to be buying more Busses than usual, if it's really SFNOs coming out now instead of stuff like Scotch Dispensers and Sus Scrofas that we had way earlier. :D

I'll buy a new one here and there but I pretty much have all the older Busses I wanted except for two; two I'll never see, a 10 inch blade SHSH and that Bird & Trout.:grumpy:
