I had a knife shipped to me that was broken enroute, I guess. It was a CRKT spring assist. The mechanism broke and they wanted me to deal with CRKT! I was appalled. They do however have some great prices. They told me, "just sent it to CRKT they will send you another one". I don't like this policy. If I buy something at Walmart and it is defective I return it to Walmart. If you buy from them make sure you read their policy. It is in their...

Was it "broken enroute" or "defective"?

There is a difference.......one implies poor packaging by the seller, the other a problem from the factory.

We're happy to exchange it for you. Ideally we want customers to work through the manufacturer- it's usually easier for everyone. Whether you send the knife back to us or CRKT you'll get a new one back (CRKT might even have better turn around time). But if you (or anyone) is not satisfied with the outcome of a phone call just push a little- we'll work with you.

We try to look over the knives before we ship them, but with the quantity we send out it's just not possible to inspect every one. There are always factory duds- no company is an exception. Send me an email (cam@bladehq.com) and we'll make it right for you. Hopefully we can turn this bad experience around.
