Bad experiences with hanktreed, kauai Marc and 97whitesnake

These 3 members are no good in my book.
hanktreed--simply no show after posting "I'll take it"
kauai Marc--sent low-ball offer after posting "I'll take it" and refused to honor the original price.
97whitesnake--said "I'll take it", no payment after 3 weeks and then withdrew from the deal.
I will never waste my time trading with these guys:mad:
 
Sorry to hear about your dealings w/Kauai Marc. I've dealt w/him a couple of times with no troubles.

I'm sorry to hear about your experience with kauai Marc. I had a pleasurable experience with him when I sold him a knife last October.

I have had business deals with over 12 fellow members(not counting the knife makers on BF),I think everybody is been happy with the transaction,payment
was always sent within minutes(PP)or the next day(MO).this experience with
leemovie was a misunderstanding,and i guess we do make mistake,i believe
this one did not require a posting in the"bad" .I personally wouldnt judge the integrity of a member on such instance.

Unusual. I've dealt with kauai Mark and had no problems at all...

Possibly some sort of misunderstanding?
 
For clarification, "I'll take it" means you'll buy it at the listed price. Bad form to lock it up like that and then start negotiating.
 
I don't know what really happened with this, and I would hope that anyone seriously wanting to do business with a member would do more research and privately discuss transaction before letting one negative comment scar their reputation.

GronK is correct in "I'll take it" etiquette. Perhaps we need to let this instance be a lesson, rather than an insult.

My 2 transactions with kauai Mark have been flawless IMLTHO.
 
Well, if this is all the bad feedback these three guys get, it will be placed in context. Mistakes happen, I wouldn't let one bad feedback stop me from dealing with someone if they had a bunch of positive feedback. That is what this forum is for, it is just to see what people are good to deal with, it is not a contest to be 100% perfect. If there are no more feedbacks like this, I'm sure everyone will just let it go.

IMHO, I DO think this type of behavior should be reported. Thank you Leemovie for taking the time to inform all of us about this. If I were selling something to someone who had a long history of not sending payment, I would want to know so I wasn't just sitting there with my dick in one hand and the knife that I thought was sold in the other. You never know what can happen when you sit like that! LOL!
 
I had a perfectly smooth sale to Kauai Marc with super fast payment. I would gladly sell to him again.

what a strange thread. its like the knife had some sort of repellant on it.


clear "ill take it" 's, who knows what was said in email/pm though.

i know leemovie is good to deal with, at least i think ive had deals with him. dont know about kaui marc or the other guys. but kaui marc seems pretty cool from his posts.

in other words, i have really no useful info to add here.

leemovie, you have my sympathy. Three in one thread.
That's just....bizarre. I've never seen anything like that.
 
Kauai Marc has made an appearance, but has not explained his part in this deal. I wonder why the other two have not made an appearance?

I've had good dealings with Marc.

And the other two were brand new members...2 posts & 1 post. Sounds to me more like a run of bad luck/mojo....:(
