Bad knife that leads to great Forest Ranger Blade

What was the reson for moving the thread? I belive those are custom and or handmade?
An honorable project...good for you!!!
I agree with the posters before me, I love the last knife.

Sawadee Santi! Extremely Cool project!

Love those blades! I've been trying to find thai blades online for a while now but no luck...

Very nice project. The knife has that rugged no-nonsense look.

I'm sure there are a whole bunch of people here interested in the knife. Who wouldn't be interested in a working knife that's tested every single day by real forest rangers?

Why don't you run a "get 1 give 1" program? Sell the knife here at a price point that covers the cost of 2 knives. The buyer gets 1, and the ranger gets the other. To sweeten the deal, put bladeforums on it, but check with the mods here first.

I'll take it!

oops, wrong forum. :o

That's a great thing you are doing, sir. And I like that "buy 1, give 1" idea; just don't know if you can do that here under the House rules regarding fundraising.

I like the Original Blade the forest ranger was using because it had a bolt tang & a large wide handle. However Great Boon! for the forest rangers to get custom made eneps:thumbup:

Wow, while reading the first page I was going to suggest exactly what SEP did on the second page. I would buy one at the cost of 2 providing it was reasonable.

Really good project you did. I was a Peace Corps volunteer (Western Samoa) and remember the seriously used knives of the villagers - they can do more with their old knives than most of us can do with new, shiny ones. I gave away some pocket knives and fishing knives - they were appreciated and were used.:D
