Brent Liles killed by semi truck. Bassist for Social Distortion and Agent Orange.
 
What was he doing riding a "small dirt bicycle" along a highway? Must have hit on some hard times. I didn't realize that. Cool band, and cool guy...
 
Never liked but a few Social D (Social D was the whiny rich kid band of early California punk rock) songs but I gotta respect their contribution to Punk and Rock in general.

RIP man.

Aww, the good old days of punk and hardcore! I still listen to the old jams now and then; Black Flag, Flipper, SOD, MOD, Exploited, Bad Brains, Minor Threat, etc, etc, etc.....

Oh, and Godflesh, lotsa Godflesh! (though it's not "true" punk it's so CRUSHING). :thumbup:
 
At least Henry Rollins is to healthy and straight edge to die anytime soon.
It is only a matter of time until you see ktel punk hits of the 80's compilations.
Our generation is going to be just like the baby boomers but instead of muscle cars it will be old school skateboards and all the cool stuff we could not afford as kids. I saw a Zorlac Metallica deck sell for $800.00 US the other day.
 
Wow.. thats too bad.. saw Liles play with Agent orange along time ago, and Social D is one of my favorite bads.
 
Joey Ramones mom died recently too. Just saw it on Ben Weasel's blog. Social D was ok, steadily the old school punk gen is disapearing.
