I just recieved this text from Nick.

Hey I'd call but service is spotty here. Can u PLEASE post on cust forum that I will b out of reach 4 awhile. Folks' house caught fire 25th a.m. They are "okay", house still standing, 80% loss from smoke and radiant heat!!! :-(

I'm not currently home, down spending time with family and using my phone.

Not sure of the proper protocol for this but would like to help his family anyway I can. Ill be sending a donation directly to Nick.

He just sent me another text while typing this thread stating the family is fine but having a tough time emotionally.

My prayers go out to your family.

Oh man.... SO sorry to hear. Glad nobody was hurt, but a very hard thing to lose your home.

I'm really sorry to hear about this. I'd be willing to do whatever I can. Money is tight for me personally, but let him know I'm only about 2 hours north of him and I'd be willing to drive down and spend a day or two donating muscle and labor if he needs help with any clean up.

My house burned down in 2007 Dec. 8th i know what you are going thru since no one was hurt all i can offer is to keep in mind that it is only stuff it's hard to do and alot of tears will flow but no one got hurt nothing is more important than that . things do get better with time hang in there .

Nick, Glad no one was hurt but I understand about how emotional the loss of one's home can be. Thoughts and prayers to you and yours.

What an awful experience for the family to go through. I cannot fathom the emotional cost of such an event. If you do set up some sort of fund please post it up. I know this community will do whatever it can to help. Just let Nick know we are all pulling for him and his family in this time of need.

That is TERRIBLE to have to go through. Wishing them the best in recovering from the emotional losses and getting their lives back on track.

One of my friend knifemaker would like to help Nick. I try to contact him. Anybody would have its gsm number ?
 
That is very sad another blacksmith friend of mine lost his house to a fire this year he is sleeping in his shop and trying to rebuild a small home on his land. it is good no one was hurt But the loss is still great. I hope we can find a way to help Nick and his family.
