Dear Yangdu didi,

Today our young sher kami cut his hand two fingers while buffing the Katana sword.

Doctor sew up 7-8 stitch in fingers. Meantime his finger bones were safe. Now he should completely rest for two weeks with medicine.

On other hand due to his absent finishing job take us behind. now pressure goes up to kamis Lachu he has only the next alternative finishing worker.

Thank you,

Rajesh

Smoke from Colorado! Hope the recovery is swift and as painless as possible. I've got a few dings from polishing in my shop also. Nothing so bad as to require stitches, fortunately.

The last I heard, Yangdu has plenty of these sheaths still available for anyone who wants a slimmer-profile sheath for packing, rough use, etc.

The sheaths were donated, so the full $20 purchase price goes toward medical expenses.

This thread has more info, including sizes and types of khukuris that the sheath fits.

So Steve, does that mean she will post what she sheaths she has or we email her what we want? How will this one work because how she worded it seems like she's doing another Deal of the Day?

Sounds like today's deals will have fundraiser sheaths included.

Also, anyone can order just the sheaths from Yangdu at any time (while supplies last), for $20 each.

Thank you all for your prayers and good thoughts for Young Sher

Power tools are very unforgiving. I could tell you stories from my Navy days or the Maintenance shop at my present job. I am glad your young sher kami didn't loose any digits and he will be OK. God bless him and thank you for communicating this so people know the true cost it takes of getting hand made metal blades to us. Stay Safe.

That guy with the helmet would probably accuse us of discrimination if we asked him to take that off his head just so he can wear a helmet for safety.
