Bad News On The Pork Belly Active Duties!!!!

The 5/16" thick Active Duties have been cancelled. It turns out that the mill did not run the stock out at 5/16" thick. Seems that some inbred must've been lubed up with a case of Carling because the INFI stock turns out to be 3/8" Thick!!!!!

So, considering that these are now MUCH thicker than 5/16" we are renaming this monster the "BBDCAD". . . or the "Big Bacon Double Cheese Active Duty". . .. .

These are easily the most ridiculous knife blanks I have ever seen!!!! The unground blank weighs a ton!!!

So, here are some pics of the BBCAD blanks for those who decide to hang in there with their dreams of a high fat version of the Active Duty!!!! This hunk of ham has no discernable heartbeat!!!!! It is 98% body fat!!! It's so fat that I'm thinking about hollow grinding them so that they can be used as both a knife and a spoon!!!! . . . .

Well,
I was thinking about one of the chubby Active Duties to balance out the fighter on my belt, but I think these might hang too heavy!!! :eek:

It's funny, the regular Active Duty is ten times as useful, so why do I want this one ten times as much???

Hmmm...I have the angelic slim AD on my right shoulder, and the demonic fat AD on my left. The slim AD is really cute with the little halo and wings, but the fat one is hard to ignore with it's horns and red cape...
Ahhhh, red---like the color of my fighter's handles...:D
 
HOLY FAT COW!! I am at a loss for words...... except AWESOME!!!!

Now, about that deal we discussed, you can send the blank direct to me so I can get the 1/4" thick leather on order to hold this beast!!! I might have to include a 1/4" thick by 2" belt so people wont be overtaxing their wimpy belts. Maybe a reinforcement at the hanger is in order as well. :D Right? Heloooooooooo.... whered ya go? I'm all alone again!? Sheesh, why does he run everytime I come around the corner????;)

Seriously, when should I expect the blank??:cool:

There's only one thing that voids the warranty on these fatties: cutting tomatoes :D
 
I bought an active duty a month or so back and it has grown on me quite a bit. So I was following the thread and saw pix...

I'm stunned.

(You know, if you could somehow remove the thickness for the blade grind in one piece, you would have nifty hunks/knives in their own right. The you could include them as appetizers :eek: )

That's 2.5 ADs in one blade. It's so wide (How wide is it?) it won't even need handles. :cool:

Jerry -- Give it a deep hollow grind (SK grinding wheel?) w/ a BAT tip and stay out of it's way! :D
This will be the fattest Busse blade to date, right?

This porker is a must have!!:)
