through a regular email.
It appears you can’t even ask a question on a regular post without getting scammed.

Just thought you should know. Here’s a copy of the email I received:

This is Eric Bosworth from the forum,sending this PM In response to your comments on my ads of Infidel mini im looking to sell on the forum . Where're you located?Let me know if you're willing to take it,then we work out a deal.

Just assume all emails you get are from scammers who have nothing to do with the BF member.

Yup. This is why I lock every single sales post. If a scammer even knows someone might be interested by commenting a question or saying "I will take it" in a sales thread the scammers will search the post history of whoever comments and/or just google their username to see if they posted an address, email, phone number and then do a man-in-the-middle attack. That is how people get scammed here. That is the only way I've seen people get scammed here. I only communicate for sales posts through DMs now.

I found your contact info in about 30 second because you left it exposed on an old thread. You (and everyone else) should go through your entire post history and delete every single piece of contact info that you have left exposed. You can search content on this site using google in seconds.

Thanks for the info. At 77 I’m still amazed at how devious some people are and what lengths they go to for an unhonest buck.
