Bad service from theultimateknife.com

I have no experience with that knife or have ever done business with that company. But I searched around and I think last year the owner was banned because someone called them out about problems with that same model. But of course I could be completely wrong. Either way I hope you get your knives or a refund.

It sort of pays to research the people you buy things from. If a deal is too good to be true it probably is. Than again, impatience can get the best of most people, as is the case with email bombing, and repeated calling. I have not even heard of them, I try to buy from the stores that have a track record of success and are readily available for answering questions.

I just purchased a Fox 478 karambit from ECOP Police Supply. Great prices and authentic factory originals. I did some leg work with Fox Cutlery and they assured me the karambit I bought is an original. I paid $113, but I see ECOP has them listed for $104 right now and probably free shipping in the USA like lots of their items. Here's the thread I started about ECOP and Fox Cutlery here on BF while I was doing leg work. http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/showthread.php/1223017-Anyone-have-any-experience-with-ECOP Just mentioning this in case you get a refund and are still interested in buying a fox karambit. Cheers man!

I just checked their facebook page, they erased my message on their wall saying that they never replied me and I believed they scammed me. I'll probly go with legal actions at this rate.

Legal action? Try calling the bank and reversing the charges on your account. Problem solved. Legal action costs a hell of a lot more money than that knife you ordered. This is exactly what I mean by sticking with well know reputable dealers rather than trying to save a couple bucks. This would not have happened with BladeHQ, Knifeworks, New Graham, GPK, or the other dozen or more reputable vendors. When you gamble you always lose.

Lol yeah most lawyers wont even speak to you for less then $350/hr... They'll laugh at you for a $200 knife.. Like Rev said call your cc and cancel the charge. Problem solved

Yeah I opened a paypal dispute ticket, next stop is a claim for a refund.

Ha, 5 minutes after I wrote another post on their wall, it was gone.

Paypal always sides with buyers. If this happens enough I'm sure paypal will flag and freeze there account.. Good luck I hope this is resolved in your best interest

My favorite quote from you yet.. Saving a few bucks definitely isn't worth the headache
Thanks, I have some good ones that are not suitable for the general forums too. :D

Good call, don't bother with them anymore. Not worth your time, energy, or frustration. Just find someone that wants your business and will provide you with good service in exchange.

Just to throw some more dirt on this company, their owner Lad was banned from this site multiple times for creating shill accounts where he defended their products and the company itself. It took approximately two posts for people to figure out who he was, despite his claims to be an objective third party.

You are right, it was the same guy.

First, the only redeeming quality other than looking "cool" is the 599 is well suited for smaller hands and not at all well suited for larger hands.
Which is why I purchased one from said site and said "person" about two years ago then got rid of it three weeks after I received it.

My experience: took over FOUR months to receive it, after a dozen emails and phone calls leaving messages ( he will never answer the phone EVER).
Also don't waste your time leaving questions about your order on said web site as he will erase them immediately, I had that happen to me and seen it happen to other unhappy purchasers.
Eventually you will receive a generic email using your first name (same email gets sent to everyone that starts to complain) telling you that "100 of them are expected in next month".... further stalling you.

Here's why I got rid of the Fox 599 Karambit within weeks of receiving it:
1. The texturing on the scales comes literally like very coarse sandpaper which MUST be gently sanded down under the clip or the 599 does not deploy out of pocket fast or smoothly.
2. The 'flipper' was worthless... even after loosening the pivot, after removing the washers and gently sanding them, after lubing it to death the 599 was unbelievably tight and the flipper was worthless.
3. I realized I don't really " need" a Karambit and got rid of it.

Said web site as well as said dealer should be avoided, there are several videos on Y.T. with people voicing similar experiences.

I have a Emerson/Perrin La Griffe which I'm happy as a clam with, no real need for a Karambit especially after my experience with the 599.

So Lad (the owner) called me and we came to a deal. Order should be here in two weeks.

Mods please delete this thread.
