Wondering if someone can give me a answer.I"m a knife maker not a electrician.I"ve had a Bader 3 sitting around for sometime. It is a 1 1/2hp varible speed.I have a existing on/off switch (220) on my wall for my air compressor. How do I wire the Bader to that switch or can I? Thanks

too many options to discuss . Going over to Ray's tomorrow to look it over . Maybe he will take notes and post what was done .

I changed my B-3 from 110 to 220, which gave it much more power. The wiring diagram should be on the motor somewhere. It's been a while, but I think I had to change the plug too.

The power input is 110/220VAC. Obviously, will need to change the plug to match the socket. In the control box you will either move the wires where they hook up in the control box, or move a jumper to select the input voltage ( can't remember which). A phone call to Stephen Bader , 518-753-4456 , will get you all the info you need.

If you have the original installation brochure for your Bader 3, there are pretty good instructions on coverting from 110 to 220 and vice versa. If you don't have it, I'd have Bader e-mail or fax you a copy.

It involves moving some pins, etc, as Stacy said.
