Badger Attack III or Badger Attack 3

Technically, it's called a Badger Attack or BA...
As is for the whole original line... Battle Mistress, Steel Heart II, Badger Attack, and Mean Street.
Steel Heart II because it's the 8" blade versus Steel Heart (later labeled SH-1) with the 6" blade.

A couple of style generations later, the original line started being refered to as Straight Handles as the subsequent generation handle styles curved downward.

Now... here's where the SHSJ debate came in.
"If it's not technically named SH, but came to be known as...
why can't the same thing happen with the original SJ? It has a straight handle."

"But it's not from the SH era of knives... moreso should be called a Gen III as it has the same Gen III handle as the BAIII."

And so on, and so on... :rolleyes:

But yes... that would be a SHBA and not a CGBA. :D

BA3 is how ive always heard it reffered to..... BA3 is also how its refrred to on BadMojo Busses Old website Why isnt that still up and running by far the best referance site:D

It seems to me, it might be better to follow the precedent of the SHII designation and refer to this new blade as the Badger Attack III to avoid confusion when this knife has a 4.5" blade.

Shorthand is BA3, b/c BAIII looks silly, takes too long to type and some newbie at Blade is gonna look silly calling it a Baiii! LOL
 
Well, Jerry called it the "Badger Attack 3" in his special offer email sent 5.24.2002 @ 1:57a.m. (The Groove Master was also offered at this time)

There was also a 3 DAYS ONLY!!! special offer for the mailing list members -- either the SnakeSkin Nukarta handles ($35.00 option) for no additional change OR for those who wanted the standard black canvas Micarta the Got INFI? Busse T-shirt (in XL, XXL or XXXL).

I only got one of each. I wish I knew then what I know now.

Anyhow, I think BAIII makes more sense these days, even if Porkerson thinks it's too much typing. :p

Nice pic C4. I'm so glad I saw the SHBA/BA3 next to eachother. I've got a SHBA on the way and now I'm tickled to death at hte size. I was worried it would be too big for what I want it for. . . now I'm worried it's too fat again. ROTFL!

I have a question. Why the heck are they so expensive? I'd like to pick up a satin/snake or a black/snake, but seriously what gives with the prices?
