Having got my first Busse only a week ago, a used Fire Warden, I'm now jonesing for a Badger. I would like just a simple CG one, something to use and abuse. From the companystore website it appears that they were available for a base price of $227. Does anyone know if they will be available again? They are all over the exchange but for $300+ and then add 3.5% extra for paypal.

I think it was more like the very high 200s like 277. I recall 292 after shipping. So $300 is a good price.

$227 would have been for something like a SMOG Warden.

Yep, satin would be sweet but I want a thin cheap one to put through its paces and $227 seems like a great price.
 
I bought a CG BATAC from Busse for $227 plus $15 shipping for a total of $242. Then if someone ships it to you they pay another ~$13 so they have around $255 in it. If you can buy one on the exchange for somewhere in the $275 - $300 range, I think that is really pretty reasonable. It is not their fault you got to the party late.
 
I got one BATAC that was Blk/Tan G-10 and it was $292.00

Maybe back when they were on the Busse Site you could get a very basic one for 227.00 but that was some time ago.
 
The CGBATAC with standard canvas micarta were originally offered directly from BusseCombat for 227 plus shipping. The Busse Company Store never carried the standard CGBATAC with Standard Handles. All of the CGBATACs offered by BCS up till this point have been upgraded with G10 MAG handles. Hence the higher price. G10 is more expensive than standard Canvas Micarta and MAG handles are quite a bit more expensive than standard ones. The BATACs selling in the low 300s are still good deals in my opinion.
 
My current favorite is the goober trying to make a quick $180 on "that auction site" by overpricing a knife still available at the Company Store.
If you miss it at Busse Combat or the Company Store, expect to pay a premium. Just practice patience, shop a bit, you can score one at, or below, going after-market price. But, best to buy direct from Jerry and/or Skunk. Save big bux. Have fun. Happy hunting. Pete
 
Thanks everyone. I'm just trying to get a feel for the market. I think I'll buy a Scotch Dispenser, it actually seems like a pretty useful knife.
 
I only have one CG BATAC, but it's a favorite. Goes wherever my daypack goes.

I paid $272 for this CGBATAC:

The base price was $227, and the Snakeskin Canvas Micarta handles were a $45 upgrade.
