I voted yes. To be honest though I would rather see the FBM or the folder. The BA TAC is going to be an awesome knife but I already have a few in that size range. DCBB or Satin will be a must.

C'mon, the badger is the knife that you are most likely to have on you when the sheet hits the fan. We all like the monsters, but the truth is that for EDC, daily wear in urban america, we don't carry much larger than a Badger. Maybe an NO-E, but the new NO's are more like the Old gen 1 SH's so they are now much bigger than in the past.

Badger or Mean street is what you are likely to have on you. Let's hear it for the Badger!!!!

I simply cannot put down the Custom Shop Satin Anorexic Badger I got from Scott. I absolutely love that knife. Thanks again Skunk.

Cobalt has it right.

My EDC rotation is SHBA (4), MS (older.27 DWMS) and an AD. I have a DABA, but it doesn't get carried since the AD pretty much fills that role.

The 4 SHBA's get the lions share of belt time. At the moment it is a 5/16" Infi smooth bolt. There is also another 5/16" smooth bolt (Infi), a slotted .27 and a slotted .25, both Infi.

The fact of the matter is, I have never been able to make anything larger work for my style of carry. I wear these suckers for 12 to 16 hrs/day and being able to sleep while wearing it is a must. Like laying on top of it without getting poked or bruised.

I can do this with the SHBA's, but not with my SJ or NO-E, even though they are just slightly bigger. Guess the girls are right, an inch or so DOES make a difference. LOL

The smooth contoured micarta makes a difference also. Have one next to your skin for 12+ hrs vs anything with a pattern in it. Ya only have to do this once to be a believer.

Drew was so on the mark with his comment (in another thread) about the smooth/slotted bolt handles being the apex of design and comfort. My favorites to be sure.

I just hope that the new BA's don't get too much of a steroid bump and get sized out of my carry range. ~10" OAL seems to be it.

+1

i would hate to see it go over a half inch longer. if it did it would make it to large to carry easily.

Got that right!

It just seems when the blade length= the handle length, or a bit shorter one way or the other, but keeping in that ~10" OAL, the COMFORTABLE concealed carry is easily achieved.

Bigger can be concealed as long as you don't try and sit or lay down.

I never had my SHBA off for over 7 days and some hours till the power came back on after Wilma. The Colt Officers came off and under the pillow not long after I rolled over on to it after I fell asleep. LOL My head hurt WAY less than my hip. LOL The full size in a Mexican carry worked better. I don't sleep on my stomach. Both went back in the safe after about the 3rd day as there were too many of my kids (19 YO) friends around.

The knives stayed handy though. My wife is very partial to a SHBM. Funny, how the kids listened to her with that big honkin BM rather than me with that 1/2 the size BA. Whatever, she scares me too. LOL

Cool report Rob, thanks! :D

I second the motion not to make a new BA overly large. The mid-range size and fitting name have always appealed to me.
