Does Bill Bagwell still make the Hells Belle? Or does Ontario have the exclusive rights now?

If a person could still buy an original Bagwell Hells Belle how much would it cost, and how long would a person wait for one? And lastly, how would someone contact Bill Bagwell?

Thanx....

Bagwell is still making them.

A real one, rather than the Ontario, is really something to behold!

Phone # (318) 878-8435 or (903) 926-7208

Cost is around $900...wait maybe a year.

Can't go wrong with a Bagwell! I've had my Helles Belle for about 3 years now and it is awesome!

Billious my friend I had to edit your post due to commercial content.

I read in a magazine that Bill asks for your height, weight, shoe size and a tracing of your hand so that he can "fit" the handle to you!!!

I believe the price is around $1200 (but I'm not entirely sure)....as for the wait...I would think in terms of years...

Bill Bagwell yesterday and ordered a Helles Belles. The facts are that
the wait is about April,2004. The price quoted to me was $950.00 no deposit required. Yes, he does ask height, weight, shoe size and righy or lefty. I had left a message and Bill called back in about 10 minutes, a good feeling when you get a quick response.

Guys, cetain makers are always going to be hard to get knives from, you have nothing to lose by getting on the makers list. A Bagwell,
Fisk, Fitch etc. are not worried about whether you take the knife, but in a couple of years you'll get a call or a letter and the wait will have been well worth it.

Oh well, talked myself into a Bowie, too.

Just thought I would post this picture that a friend sent me of a beautiful Bagwell bowie. This is the kind of work he does. Superb.

i've never handled a bagwell knife

what makes them better than a cold steel tanto?? 950 seems like a lot to pay for a knife, and waiting a year is a long time, no?
what will you use in the meantime?

i think it is better to learn to use what you have then to wait along time for a knife

ninjitsu teaches us how to use blades, long and short! Tam

Mr. Bagwell made me two knives back in 1979 and 1980. Awesome weapons. They were stolen in 1999 along with alot of other good knives.
