I don’t think I will be trying anything like that anytime soon!If you look down the sides of the filework where it meets the straightedge of what would be the scales, you will see the differences in the distances from vine to edge, and the vine does not flow as smoothly as it should
For me, when doing this type of work I too will take a break frequently as the level of attention I have to maintain for good results is both stressful and tiring and a strain on the eyes.That would have been my guess...do you find as i do, that the closer you get to the “end”, the more you have to take a break and regain your breath? Lol. As i near the final strokes, i have to remind myself not to be in a rush. Cause 3/4 of the way im thinking, “this looks good”, and then bam...mistake. Lol.

I don't consider myself ahead of you at all skills-wise, and no prob with unsolicited ideas or a p.m. sometime. Might take me a day or two to respond so don't think I'm avoiding the p.m.
