BAIIIs have returned to normal prices

I sold both of mine for well under the $850 high, but I don't regret it. To be honest, they really didn't do it for me, and I got top dollar for the time when I sold them.

Personally, I'm really surprised that SH-E's are selling for less than $850 now. For me they are the perfect Busse, really the most basic, functional design ever for a mid-sized knife. I've got two now that will be appraised by my kids on the "Antiques Roadshow-2070"

Guys, please don't hang me from the nearest tree, but I just don't get the older lines

Obviously it's a personal thing but I just love the lines of the newer knives and have acquired a real taste for anything satin and tiger hide (especially LE).

Maybe there are other guys out there like me who prefer the newer stuff and the market for the older knives is shrinking as it gets satisfied (just a thought)

In the end it's all good as long as you are happy and the variety is a great thing :D

Funny I paid $187.00 a piece for mine.

That's right about what I paid for mine.:D

Forget what I sold them for, but it wasn't insane. Probably <$300.

Love the Badger size and I've had them all, but the only ones I've kept and use (yes, use), are the SHBAs.

Hey where have you been?

Well Tony, since you asked i will elaborate some, My opinion is that

the older the better back in time when production #s were lower

and Jerry was making them to me thats really important

I personally love A2 tool steel and ATS34 and the

SHBA/ SHMS fit

my hands very well compared to the newer style of knives. I think

someone else said there just like the SHSJ which is correct.

Not a big fan of them either and very very surprised they are

selling for more than a Grail knife. In my humble opinion:D

I think he meant: how do you know there were "very large production #'s"? :D

Yes that's what I meant.

Knives are very personal and for me the BA-III is one of the top five all time best Busse knives.

Others are the SHBM, AD, and older INFI MS....

The new SAR could be a great one I hope to get one from Skunk on Monday

I sent him a good bottle of Scotch last week so I have better than a 50/50 chance
