I don't think he's made a knife I didn't like. Alright, you guys know the drill, post 'em if you got 'em :D I'll start us off with a few.

First we have two of the knives Bailey submitted for the M.S. qualification test at Blade 2001.

Next we've got a classy bowie with a carved walnut handle and damascus guard.

Finally, a very unique small bowie or hunter with a blackwood handle along with a gold inlay and engraving on the guard. But what makes this one really unique is that the blade is forged 3V. This is the only knife I've ever seen with forged 3V. I want one :D

I've got a lot more picures of his knives but I'm going to let you guys post some because I've got to go to work.

Bradshaw you say? Hmm... seems to ring a bell.. :D ;)

It will not surprise many here that Bailey is one of my favorite makers. A truly talented craftsman producing an incredibly diverse range of blades - folders to fixed blades to swords, from plain to as fancy as you can imagine. And you couldn't ask for a nicer guy to work with.

That first bowie you posted won the B.R. Hughes award for best knife submitted by a Master Smith applicant, and was the inspiration for this knife that Bailey made for me:

The gold inlay work that adorns the guard and pommel has to be seen up close to be really appreicated:

And staying with the damascus bowie theme, here's a gorgeous Samuel Bell inspired piece:

I'll post up some more later on.

Cheers,

Here's a BIG bowie that had me crying on my keyboard ('cause I didn't have the funds to pull the trigger :( ) - pics from knifeart.com:

The discreet bit of gold inlay in the stainless steel guard is nice dash of luxury in a knife that is otherwise all business:

Ok, a couple more before I go to work :D

An awesome bootknife from Bailey. This damascus goes together with the stag very nicely - Pics from knifeart

Hey, who you callin' lucky? :)

Actually, I own 2 of the knives you posted, I must be VERY foolish now. :)

Yes, I am pleased to own the jelly roll small bowie, and the large bowie with the walnut handle and blued, multi-bar composite guard and buttcap, but who's counting...

Well, since my son was born 2 days ago, and ive gotten no sleep and been at the hospital every day, I dont have the energy to post the pics I have of Bailey's stuff, but I have them, and will post some in a few days.

You're right about one thing, I AM lucky my little boy arrived not perfect, but in better shape than the doctors told us to expect. Lucky indeed. :)

Megalobyte:

An absolutely fantastic collection you have there sir. I'm very impressed at the depth of your webpaged showcases and knives. Outstanding collection.

All the best with your new addition to the family as well sir.

Thanks! I already made a webpage for the little guy last night. :) (Joey not Bailey...) :)

Not that this has much to do with Bailey's work, except that my little guy will of COURSE be a fan of Bailey's at some later date, so, here is a page with just a few pics for now. :)

I don't have any knives made by Bailey as of yet, but I am thinking of getting him to make me one in this Bell style. Picture taken from True North Knives site.

Yes, the double temper line on that folder is awesome. Megalobyte has some pictures that show it off very well. Speaking of picutres...

Here's a a very sleek looking bowie. Even though it's not too fancy, it's one of my favorite Bradshaw bowies that I've seen.

Here's a nice mini bowie Bailey did. I beleive this one is Danbo's too.

There's nothing like stad and damascus

And here's some more of Bailey's great folders. I believe the first two belong to Nifrand.

Okay, let's see if I can post 4 pictures of Bailey's knives without showing a bowie. :(

Here goes - pearl handled dagger with silver scabbard:

"Trader" model with interchangeable fixed-blades. Very innovative. Pic from knifeart.com:

Sorry for the repeat, but if drool promotes rust, I would ruin this one:

I can't believe I never noticed before, but part of his mark is the same as the symbol used by the "Rakkasan Raiders" of the 101st Airborne. Does anyone know if he served, or if there is any connection?

His mark is composed of a Tori Arch over a back to back B's (for Bailey Bradshaw) I may have mispelled the tori part...lol
