FYI, Bithabus' last time on BF was the 17th. Hope you get your sword soon. Anybody know his phone number?

thanks Megalobyte...that's when i sent payment so i'm assuming maybe that's when he marked the sword "sold". i understand that he maybe away for work for weeks at a time. at least that's what he told me. from his last e-mail he said he would send it out and i only asked he emails me a tracking #.
i think he only comes home every Tuesday (so it seems) i guess i would just wait until Wednesday and hope he responds or better yet...get my sword by then. :)

any info on phone # would be great, though...thanks again.

ok. i'm beginning to think that i am being ripped-off!!!

still no sword! still no tracking/ confirm #...it was sent last Tuesday, supposedly (per our last e-mail contact). can someone help, me!

not yet...Bithabus is back in contact with again. (wheewe!) but i had to file a complaint Paypal just to cover my butt. i don't want to lapse my time in filing complaints. lesson learned from last time.

i still don't have confirm or tracking #, though. supposed to be sent 2 days ago. we'll wait and see...i hope it gets here tomorrow.

i'll keep you guys up to date and i'll post a review of the sword.

thanks!

I don't get why he can't give you a tracking number?

I hope it arrives safely - that is some impressive sword.

Roger

IT'S HERE...IT'S HERE...it arrived today and this sword is just awesome!!!

Bithabus finally emailed me...and he shipped it a couple of days ago.
he has a working schedule that requires him to be away for weeks at a time so trying to get a hold of him is pretty hard.

i'm just glad everything turned out good and nobody was burned. :o

Bithabus has been great about the situation and very understanding...i would like to apologize to him publicly for the inconviniences i have cost him.

please stick around Bithabus...we need more good guys like you.

now for the review:

what can i say?!? this sword is TOP OF THE LINE! this has got to be the best kissake i've ever seen on a katana it is ground perfectly sharp and pointy. fit and finish of furnishing is perfectly tight. nice diamond patterns on the leather wraps. the menukis are hand carved of ken by Bailey...and i gotta say. they are nicely done. they even have fullers going down the tiny blades. the sanded rayskin on the throat of the scabbard is very nice touch. and the best part of the sword is the hamon...nice gentle activity with utsuri (typical of Bailey's hamons) by the tsuba and as you get towards "the sweet spot" of the cutting edge, you will notice that the hamon goes much higher toward the spine. with this feature combined with fuller on both sides of the blade, i have no that this one will cut tatame mats and bamboos like a tooth brush going over and over on your teeth. okay, maybe that was a bad simile on my part but you get the idea.
