I am interested.........But is there any way of finding out the blade steel used? Let me know..........J.C.

I am sorry, that I was not available last night,to be here for your posts. This is a situation, where both forum members posted at the same time, one asking a question, and one stating "I'll take it". Chance did e-mail first,I will have to speak to both members,by e-mail,in order of there e-mails to me.Does this sound fair? I do not really know if this is the correct procedure,in this case,Thanks,Vince

I'll check in later today,it seems we missed each other again,Thank You ,Vince

Agreed. The first to commit to buy should get the knife. It's like selling anything else, someone can come by to look and ask, but the one who says I'll take it first and provides the money should get it.

The first to say "I say it" should get it. You can check the time the mail was received vs. the time the post was made here.

Otherwise, hell, I'll take it myself! :)

Great catch.

The correct procedure around here is usually the first POST of "I'll take it." So, in this case, it boils down to "I'll take it!" vs. "I'm interested...".

(I know from experience how the "loser" will feel, but...first to pull the trigger is first to hit the target.) Nice knife at a great price.

All right guys Wray contacted me, I feel that I stated that I didn't know the blade steel. I do agree with everyone here that Wray commited first to a good deal. Apologies to CJ Chance.

*******SOLD******

That is a sweet blade- I really like that on myself.

I really wish the "email" vs. the "I'll take it" was a bit more standardized and and followed among forum users. I tend to believe the 'I'll take it' posted in the thread should override an email.
I have posted an 'I'll take it' right away when something has been listed, only to be told- 'sorry- I received an email from someone who wishes to remain anonymous- it is SPF to them'.
oh well...

Not a bad idea. Why not start a thread for a consensus and then we all apply that in the future?

I prefer to send an e mail or PM first, sometimes you need to clear up a detail that may not have been clear in the description or pic. My home and shop address is plastered all over the internet and I do not like to show my buying habits. I've had some strange inquiries over the years to show that people do pay attention to everthing you buy on the forums. It will not hurt anyone to check the time stamps on a e mail versus a PM or a post.

I also think time stamps are a good indicator. Do they appear on all posts, PM's, and emails automatically or could they be 'tampered' with?

In the event of a dispute such as this I believe the proper procedure is to void both persons postings and start over....so.....I'LL TAKE IT!. Seems fair to me:o

It's completely up to the seller, however, it would be really nice if it were stated which gets first priority.
