Hate to do it, but so it goes.
Knife is dead mint and 100% sole authorship.
An amazingly elegant and perfectly executed interframe folder from Bailey, it seems he isn't making bail locks much anymore, not crazy about the self-lock, though I appreciate their utility, but this one is most definitely a bail lock.
Frame is an understated ladder damascus with very extensive 22k gold scroll work, and each side has a creamy, liquid-like antique elephant ivory inlay, they have subtle but very nice swirls of caramel running through them, the quality, full color and liquidity of the ivory didn't come out in the pics at all, I haven't seen better. The gold inlays are applied with a skill and perfection that is almost uncanny.
The blade is 3.25" and forged from Bailey's explosion pattern multi-bar damascus, the bail is carved nickle silver. Blade is centered, action smooth, zero play in any direction.
One of the sweetest folders Bailey has made to my eyes, I have recently seen some of his interframe self lock folders selling on a website for $3,000, though Bailey had engraved those.
