Some of these Amazon third party sellers are getting out of hand...

I bought and paid for a serrated Spyderco Pacific Salt from "Hitex Store". What I received was a half-serrated Tenacious. I informed the seller that they had sent the wrong thing. I received a "sorry you aren't happy with the knife" reply, and was sent a plain address label that stated I needed to pay for return shipping. I replied again, saying that since the item I was shipped was not the item I ordered, I would need a prepaid return label. No response to that (yet anyway).

I'm not sure what all my rights are here, but pretty sure this qualifies as bait and switch. I wonder what the credit card company would say about this.

Anyway, stay away from Hitex Store. At best, they are completely clueless.

Has not happened to me with New Graham, Knifeworks, GPK, BladeHQ, or other knife dealers. Save a couple bucks and you end up spending a lot more in aggregation, frustration, and waiting. Still don't understand this.

Ditto! I buy a lot from Amazon since I have a Prime membership (they charge Kansas sales tax, so that gets paid no matter where I buy), but when it comes to knives, I pay a couple dollars extra for the excellent service from folks like Knifeworks!

(Not the place for a rant)

Complain directly to Amazon if you don't get a prepaid label.

This. ^^^

Third party sellers have to meet certain Amazon standards. If you don't get satisfaction from the seller, Amazon will work as a go-between and apply pressure to make sure that it is made right. That is part of the agreement that third party sellers make with Amazon in order to sell on their site.

OP - best of luck. :)
