Hello guys hope you can help me.
i just purchased my first hollow grinding wheel it's a 12x2 solid contact wheel with aluminium hub and rubber tire from AMK.

the owner Allen is a great guy to deal with and said the wheels are cheaked for runout and he includes two .75oz stick on weights so what i need to know is how do i balance this wheel so there is no bump or wobble while running.

Have you ran it yet? If it runs smooth then I wouldn't worry. If not then place the weight somewhere and see if it gets better or worse. Move it again and see if it's better or worse. Keep going til you get it dialed in.

Thank you for the info guys
After a little more research i think i meant to say how to do a a stactic balance. Not sure if this is a different thing or not.

As Kuraki mentioned, using two sharp bevels knife edges with a straight rod thru the contact will will do a good job of static balancing. That is the method we use for balancing motorcycle wheels. Works like a champ.

Here is a good example of a static stand: https://goo.gl/Y0ml4P

Good old Harbor Frieght has both types, bubble and stand: https://goo.gl/KyZjNO

I have never needed to balance a contact wheel, so my opinion may be wrong, but .75oz and 1.5oz seems like a lot to balance something that should come pretty precise to start with.

If your question was how to do the balance. you find the heavy side with a bubble or axle balance and place the weights along the other side. Move the weights around until there is no imbalance. If both weights are needed, place one on each side of the inside rim.
