I use to see em a lot when I lived off the Potomac R. I havent seen one at my current home since we put the pond in about 4 years ago. He's been hanging around since Friday or Saturday. One of these pics has a young eagle in the tree too:thumbup:

Sounds like they might be starting their late season migration towards wintering grounds. Nice pictures KH!
 
It'd be cooler if you tied a busse to his talon and the next time he landed some one would be like "dammm, look at that crazy eagle with that crazy knife, dont see that everyday"!!

What an amazing surrounding to live in. How literally blessed are you to live like that. :)
 
Thats awesome. I used to work in a guys home office on a lake in North Jersey. On early foggy rainy morning we would see a bald eagle hunting above the lake and then perch in a tree. They're amazing. You nver know where you'll see one.

It really is an awesome and majestic bird.

On a recent fishing trip in northern New Mexico, there were some Bald Eagles soaring above the lakes we were fishing. It was the first time I'd ever seen one in nature... I couldn't believe how big they were in 'real life'.
