I have a new to me Bader III with a DC motor (factory) and a Baldor BC154 control. It was set to run on 220 when I bought it but I've changed it to 110 with the help of the Baldor manual. The issue is it runs on at a low speed when the speed control is at the lowest setting. If speeded up then turned down it stops for a moment then runs again. Reading the manual I don't find a trim pot to adjust. Or more likely I have no idea what to look for because it's like all greek to me. I'm looking for help, thanks in advance.

If you make us look up the manual and guess at the motor and so on that's what happens.

Show- Show- Show what you got, what it does, when it does it,

show the motor plate , show the controller, post a link to the controller manual, show how it was setup and what you changed
Why you chanShow- Show- Show what you got, what it does, when it does it,

show the motor plateged that.

Under figure 2-2 there is a note that 180v motors can't be run on 110v, only on 220. That's pretty standard for dc controllers, but you may find one that will work, or buy a 90v motor.

I think the motor is OK, it is just that the controller has to allow the motor speed to drop before it reads a need for current to be applied. That is normal as far as I know.

Thanks for the replies. Sorry for the giant size photo.

My KBAC controller is the same about the 110v vs 220. You have to run 220 to turn anything at full speed on your motor. You are effectively cutting your max speed in half.

I expect that the stopping issue is a "inductive charge" build up delay due to the large motor.

If you have two 110 outlets on adjacent circuit breakers you can make a custom plug that will run 220.
