Baldor motor advice.

Would this motor work for a KMG clone, EERF etc? I know 3 phase with VRF is ideal 3HP etc. However, on a tight budget would this work? I am assuming yes as its a 56c frame.

Make sure the shaft is 5/8" so you can buy wheels, looks like it has been turned down

I realize this is kinda close to the wire so I'll be short

a C frame motor has the face mount bezel around the shaft. Since you must construct your own motor mount for a KMG clone it really doesn't matter.

The motor shown in the ebay link looks pretty ratty. Plus the shipping cost on a newer motor is going to be about the same as on an old one.

I run a 2.5 HP on my KMG and a 2 HP on my Burr King.

That's a 3phase motor, so you'll need a VFD to run it with your single phase power at home.

That looks pretty tough too... I've purchased brand new 2hp Baldor motors on ebay for not a lot more than that one.
