Bali club secret decoder rings

So I was thinking a fellow forumite (you knwo who he is) was talkgin to me about rings and made mention of the possibility of having all of the baliforumites fitted for thumbrings or whatnot.. Some might say it is like branding or 'wussy' but I thought it was quite romantic to have a sort of comradery between us baliforumites - plus hey it's a damn revolution a you knwo how I go for that... (ironic coming from me since I dont post much no more) You never know who you might see walkign down the street.

The ring in question is a thumb ring (or any ring you might like) with 'skeletonized' balisong holes... In Ti.. sadly the cost woudl be 195.00 inclusding shipping.. I am thinking if we can get enough blokes around we can have enough push for a discount...

is there anyone willing to pay that much with the possible hopes but unassured discount? I dunno if I will yet though.

THen again thinking about it.. I am not a jewelry buff.. I could spend that much and find myself a 40 series BM... so does anyone have any leads to good custom silver ring jewelers that can go under this price?

Well yeah just a thought I had in mind... If only not to be forgotten you know

Hmm...I'm not much into rings or other jewelry.I wear a couple of necklaces,but those are for spiritual purposes.
Maybe we could have something else...there's plenty of things to choose from.We'd just have to find something that everyone would like to use/wear as much as possible.
Then of course,we'd have to find someone that could make the stuff...for a decent price.

How about laser ingraved copper wristbands? Could even do gold or silver plating. Not sure what the logo would be but definately under $195.

T shirts and keychains seem nice but the thing is it woudl be cool to have something that we can wear sort of most of the time and keychains woud not be easily visible...

How about a miniature balisong pin? It could have working handles, closed length about 1".

Hmm...the only time I wear anything on my wrists is during ren-faire time..that's when I pull out the old leather bracers.
Keychain isn't a bad idea..since it would probably be carried the most.But I can see the "visibility" problem.
A customized leather sheath would be good,but not everyone would be able to carry them around,thanks to stupid knife laws.
Maybe a stainless steel ring with the holes.It'd be cheaper than the titanium,and it can be worn as a necklace for those who don't care to wear rings.
Of course t-shirts & caps are a given for any club.We'd just need a good emblem for the club,no matter what it's called.

Hi all,

I really like the idea of a decoder ring. I would have liked to wait until after I purchase my first PC custom. 195 dollars would go a long way towards that end. Let me toss out another idea. One that shows way more lifetime commitment. Sniper, how about some pics of a design for a very exclusive tattoo? We could all have it done in a very big knife show like Oregon?
 
I would probably be up for something like that, I'm not a big fan of rings, but I could see a tattoo. Don't think I could make it to OR to get it though

well considering I (and a few others here) arent legally old enough to get one, that's not working with me. Then there's the question of IF i'd ever get a tatoo anyway.
I do think it's a cool idea though, and I'd love to see the results

how about a bali designed completely exlusively for us. the price would be pretty high, but it'd be awesome to have something that's limited-run. I could have display cases and plaques done too.
 
No tattoos for this old dog.I decided a long time ago that I'd never get any tats or piercings...it's just not me.
It should be something that can be passed down to someone upon our "retirement" from the world of the bladed yo-yos.Especially if the person to receive ii is a younger balisong user.That way,the club continues,as well as our legacy

Tattoo would be sweet, especially if it was of the classic Benchmade butterfly logo with balisong written across it.

How about this:
A temporary tattoo!!!! hehehe that would be great!!!! same design but washable and safe for the kiddies!!!! hehehe

Or

A Balisong club / sniperboy SWAT team Secret decoder pin. It would have a decoder that swivels around!!!! It would be awesome!!!
