I understand that S is on vacation!

I kept asking..."why me, why me"? Then an elderly lady held me by the hand after a sixteen hour trama and in a weak voice she said " Lord, thank you for him"!

I like the SS ring idea. It is quite cheaper than Ti and therefore much easier for most to afford.

Don't get me wrong, I love my Ti version but I can fully understand not wanting to pay the price I did, but I'm addicted to Ti.

I'll try to remember to ask Mr. Boone if he can do his work with SS. I'd assume he can since he uses a machine to get the rough shaped/cut/finished ring then hand finishes them.

I suppose I'm the only one here who would go for balisong cufflinks?

I like the ss ring idea. Like the one Blailover got, but in ss. I say we make the 42 hole pat. the main thing. A ring for those who like rings, and a disk shaped pendent to be worn as a neckless with the pattern in a circle. Cheap to make, rare (I think), and most importantly, simple.

Remember, even though they might be legal to carry were you live, some cops still don't like them. So lets not advertise the fact with the word "Bali-Song" in plain, full view.

But then again..... ....How many cops know what a Bali-Song is? They SHOULD know, but I doubt the ones around this hick town of mine do.

They did not know that ther is no law that prevents people from leaving their tailgate down while empty, but pulled me over on main street anyway! Thats OK, he got chewed out by the town manager for it!

I like the copperwristband idea. I may just get a copper band and just carve this little butterfly design into it. But I am to young to get a tatoo, that and I dont like the idea of being stuck with a bunch of needles. Not afraid of knives but dang scared of needles.
Oh yah police here are like that to. I got mad at one because he was going to take my knife not because he thought it was illegal but because he didnt think I should have it.

I dont post often, but i read this forum almost daily,i have a question and a suggestion for the club emblem.Question first,Allthough i had over 60 knives stolen several years ago,i still have one of the bali's.It is one by (united).I have had almost every brand of production bali made, and this one performs similer to all of the low to mid price range bali's,my question is,does anyone have these, and are they any good?My suggestion for the Club emblem .is (FLIPPER),remember the t.v show,it would be discreet, and somewhere on the shirt(emblem)there could be a small pic of a bali,in fippers fin or his pocket.thanks -----Ramfan

There are some really great ideas here. Although I think the ring is so far the best idea. SS with the 42 holes sounds affordable and stylin'. And unlike a tattoo or shirt, you have the option of wearing it around your neck by a chain. We could have a small inscription on the inside with the club's logo or name.

I also know a place around here that sells these great pocket sized band-aid dispensers that you can have custom printed. A fitting accesory for any bali-enthusiast.

In any case, if there's a final decision on this, whatever it is, I'll take one.

The ring is too expensive, only a small part of the bali fans will get it.. but a t-shirt is another thing !
I'd really like a t-shirt, not too offensive, so I can wear it at work !
I'd like it to say "balisong" something, so that people can ask me what the hell that is...
if it says "I LIKE TO KILL PEOPLE WITH A BUTTERFLY KNIFE!" I will probably NOT get it! 8-)

I have to say that I also like the idea of an adornment or token to bind us together. I am getting pretty good at manipulating metals, especially copper, so I will try out some things when I'm in the shop. For ideas. I do like the SS ring idea. Though I don't wear rings. I think I'd be more likely to wear a bracelette than anything.

Wait, I've got it! We'll all get engraved Kazoos. Then we can have a secret call and everything.

I like the ti ring idea, but I never knew the craftsmanship costs would exceed $200! If it were between $60-$80, I would be willing. And Im not in a hurry to get one either (i.e. one of the reported reasons as to why the rings are pricey, due to the 2-3 day turnaround).

What about a high-quality balisong keychain with some engravings (blade of legal length ofcourse)?

I really like the idea of having something to symbolize being in a balisong club, that is discrete, inexpensive, and something you would be able to wear every day to show you're in the club. I like the thought of running into a fellow forumite in a store or something.

I really liked BaliLover's ti thumb ring, but $195 is a bit high for me. The SS ring idea would probably be my choice, although I also like the idea of having a balisong pin, although not one quite that big (1" closed).

Hey, maybe it could be a necklace or something with a special design. Nothing too classy, but unique so that it would be easily identified by another who has seen the design, and discrete at the same time (won't have 'balisong' on it or anything).

I don't know, what kind of things do you guys like to wear, and would be willing to wear daily?

SS ring could be cool! What about silver? Or something in the line of Rodium (spelling)

Then again Stainless would be unique.

Perhaps we could compromise and come up with a design of some sort that would represent out little club, but not specify what it is on. This way we would be able to have bracelets, rings, necklace charms, tatoos, decorated sheaths, t-shirts and the like that would represent us, but in a very subtle manner.

Not quite as unifying as a single piece of hardware, but it might be the first step. Or we could come up with a ring or something that everyone would have, and then have additional items or whatever available.

There's a problem with the idea of everyone having the same knife style.Actually, there's a couple of problems.A: it's possible that not everyone could afford the knife B: we should have something that would let others know we belong to the club,i.e. something that can be *seen* at almost all times.Remember,in many places we can't really carry the knives out in the open, and most times many users tend to keep them hidden from view anyway.

As for a special or secret move, nah! Why bother?

One of those big daddy johnson t-shirts with the words "When in doubt flip it out" with big daddy johnson himself holding a BM42 and his girls oogling over it (the knife that is).

Seriously, Sterling silver tappered ring blank, three circle "bali" holes drilled in it. I know a jeweler that could do such a thing and reproduce it in Silver, gold, white gold, or brass for a reasonable price. (How do i know? I work for him part time!)
