Beautiful Samson custom weehawk by Bali-Song, Inc. (a.k.a. the Benchmade or Pacific Cutlery custom shop). Handles are factory mirror polished. The grind on this thing is amazing, vintage Jody Samson for sure. Inserts are black with burgundy stripes micarta. Lack of an (R) next to the butterfly and the narrow boot grind suggest an early piece. The knife is in overall excellent condition. The knife latches positively in both open and closed positions. The pivots have not loosened. Tang pin and cups are fully intact and as-new. There are light scuff marks throughout on the knife consistent with light use and carry. The pivot pins barely show on the handles. The edge appears to have been sharpened, although it is hard to tell, and there is a very minor wearing of the tip at the very edge of the tip. Overall I would rate this knife a 7 out of 10. Still a nice collector piece, and certainly as fully functional as it was when new in case buyer chooses to use it. $650 shipped
