Balisong CD?

Practical Info for Clay

I just tried to put a website on a CD (burnt from my PC) to read it on a MAC.
The MAC, when it reads the CD, coverts all the filenames which are longer than 8 chars to XXXXXX~1 names (16bits instead of 32bits names).
As you can imagine, half of the links were broken.
And yet, this Mac is not crap, it's a G3 used in a Edition Company for page setups.
There's surely something I've missed when I burnt the CD.

Yeah, it's an ISO format for long filenames. Take a look at this, I think it may help you on the mac (yuck

>>Uh, who uses a 200MHz still? :-)

Actually, most all of us have a 200 MHz or smaller connection to memory. That is what they need to work on. Even a 500 MHz processor is fast enough for must applications. I remember back when I had a 25 MHz processor and it did just fine for word processing and my bible program. But it was worthless for the internet.

They do not seem to be interested in working on improving the bus connector to memory because its the size of the processor that sells computers, so that is what they are working on improving, even though like I said, most processors of 500 or above is plenty fast enough. The fastest connection you can get to the internet is around a 500. Thanks, JohnR7

Clay,
Regarding Macintosh format, I found a shareware on download.com, which could be usefull. You may try it. It's called Aladdin (stuffit) Expander.

Hey there, just a heads up on the cd. I got mine, but it doesn't quite load up right. It says to double click on the index, and it should flow just like the website, but I only get an error message.
I can still browse the cd and it has all the videos and pictures.
I am still happy about the purchase. Now I can finally find new ways to hurt myself with the toys I already have. The price is cheaper than buying a new bali, and all the info is there.

Thank's Clay!!!

I got my CD today too, which was quite a surprise. Many thanks Clay. Sadly though, I can't get it to load up on my Commodore 64.

Seriously though, I don't want to break the seal on it... although I won't spoil it by telling you why on here though.

IMHO though, its worth the $15 just for the seal.

Hey, Clay, did you officially decide to sell it? I can't find any announcement of it or where to order it!

Is the videos in the site the same as on the CD? Is there anything new or different? Is the quality better or something?

This is taken from the index of the CD:

"This CD contains the same information
you'll find on BalisongXtreme the WebSite. It was created especially for those of you with either slow Internet connections, or those that don't want to have to connect to the Internet to access the site."

Regardless of the fact theres nothing new on there, I still think its a worthwhile investment, and personally speaking, I feel that Clay deserves to make some money for all the help and advice he's given out on his web site. Plus of course, its a really cool CD to leave by your PC to impress (and/or frighten) friends & family.
