I was just wondering where i can acquire some handles for balisongs. like Ti and such.

thank you,

dan

I'm just having a hard time looking for sheets of metal for handles.. knifekits.com already provides me the basic knife blade steels so I'm set on that..

Technically I don't own a business so I can't really get quotes on 6AL-4V Ti.. which sucks a bit..

Talk to Chuck! http://www.alphaknifesupply.com/

The folks at alpha are not the only place you can get TI from but it's the only place I have ever bought Ti from and I know they will do you right. Blade steel is a LOT cheaper there than knifekits too.

If you want Stainless in the 1/2" wide, Mcmaster-Carr has is and lots of other stuff you will "have" to get...

What else you lookin for?:D

From what I know.. I'm really going in blind towards knife making. I don't really know much about it ^^ I've done some research on it and going straight towards making balisongs is a bit... crazy? (from what I hear..)

Plus I need a hobby that'll last me a while ^^

Les made some good suggestion's!listen to the man,he knows his bali's :)

If your just getting into this,i would first try using aluminum or brass for handles.much easier to work with minimal tooling! Also, look into picking up some undersized drills, reamers, taps etc!

heres a very good tutorial Terry did a while back! this will give you a good idea of whats required to get started.
